Become an All Saints CatechistReligious Education (RE) classes at All Saints are taught by a team of volunteer Catechists. Through their ministry, Catechists nurture the faith and spiritual development of the children and teens that they teach and guide them into a growing relationship with Jesus.
What’s involved in serving as a Catechist?
Catechists plan lessons (with the assistance of the RE staff), prepare materials, and conduct class each week from September – May. As a Catechist at All Saints, you will have all the resources you need in the form of print and digital materials, supplies for hands-on classroom activities, and 1:1 support from the RE staff. |
|
Catechists have access to:
- All Saints’ robust Resource Library and weekly curriculum guides by grade level
- 1:1 mentoring and support from the RE staff and other Catechists
- Arts and craft supplies and resources for hands-on activities
- Resources through Our Sunday Visitor’s Alive in Christ textbook series with supporting video and online tools
- Interested in more training? You can also choose to participate in the RE Volunteer Retreat, attend the Diocesan Catechetical Conference, and/or enroll in the Diocesan Catechist Certification Program taught on-site by our Director of Religious Education Mrs. Samantha Welsh.
