This sacrament reconciles Catholics with God the Father and with the community. The sacrament of the Eucharist is a sacrament of initiation where by the power of the Holy Spirit, bread and wine are changed into the Body and Blood of Jesus, or the Real Presence. |
About First Reconciliation and First Communion
At All Saints Catholic Church, to prepare for these sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, children must be enrolled in a formal program of catechesis either through the the parish religious education program, a local Catholic school, or an approved home school program.
The Religious Education (RE) office has a two-year sacramental preparation program for children and teens. This means that children and teens who are receiving a sacrament will need to receive two years of religious education instruction. In order to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, all children must be registered for the sacraments with the RE Office.
