During the 2020-2021 catechetical year, religious education (RE) classes are able to be held via videoconference due to the generosity of volunteer catechists. In light of the limited number of classes that are able to be scheduled, All Saints RE, in consultation with Father Lee Roos, has made the following revision to the RE Inclement Weather Policy for 2020-2021.
During the onset of a storm and/or predicted inclement weather, All Saints RE will continue to conduct the normally scheduled classes via videoconference. If a family has technical issues (such as power outages) due to inclement weather, they should leave a voicemail at the RE Office at 703-393-2142 or email allsaintsreligioused.org. Families Growing in Faith TogetherParents are the primary educators of their children. "Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child's earliest years. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents." Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2226
